Bill Barrett Corporation and Double Barrel Host Golf Tournament to Benefit MDA

Bill Barrett Corporation, pioneer in natural gas exploration and production in the Rocky Mountains, and Double Barrel are teaming up as title sponsors for the upcoming Tournament of Hope to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).

The tournament is scheduled for Friday, June 25 at Rifle Creek Golf Course in Rifle, Co. Registration begins at noon with a shotgun start following at 1 p.m. An awards reception with a silent auction and dinner is planned following the tournament. Awards will be given for longest and shortest drives, and closest-to-the-pin.

In its inaugural year, this tournament is a sold-out event thanks to the efforts of Bill Barrett Corporation, Double Barrel, and the team of volunteers and staff from MDA. Funds raised will benefit local families affected by neuromuscular diseases by helping MDA provide muscle clinics for adults and children, summer camps for kids ages 6-17, a loan closet with durable medical equipment, and nearly $1 million in local research funding. For more information or to donate an item for the silent auction, contact your local MDA office at 970-241-2181. MDA is a voluntary health agency working to defeat muscular dystrophy and related diseases through programs of worldwide research, comprehensive health and community services, and far reaching professional and public health education. The Association's programs are funded almost entirely by individual private contributors.
